Brand Guidelines + Copywriting + Editorial Design + Litho & Digital Printing

A Land Use Scheme is a planning tool that allows or restricts certain types of land uses to certain geographic areas. The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform commissioned industry experts, i @ Consulting, to formulate Land Use Scheme Guidelines. The expertise of Geolix was called in to aid in delivering a professional and polished final product. We were responsible for brand consistency with the Department’s existing brand standards, as well as the design, layout and print production of the Land Use Scheme Guidelines.

Goals &

Schemes are tools used by municipalities to guide and manage development according to the vision, strategies and policies of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Spatial Development Framework (SDF). The general purpose of a Scheme is to create coordinated, harmonious and sustainable development of a municipal area in such a way that it efficiently promotes health, safety, order, amenity, convenience and general welfare, as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development.

Our goal was to produce an engaging design and layout that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also practical to follow and easy to comprehend. We take pride in a final product that clearly communicates desirable land uses and provides clarity on what may or may not occur on a property.

“Geolix has been the design partner of i @ Consulting for the past five years. In this period the quality of work delivered by Geolix consistently matched and at times exceeded our expectations.”
